Christofel Cuba is A learner education support tutor at Beautiful Gate S.A and he is good with sales force. Chris also heads up the soccer team at the Philippi container where the Learner Education support site is. Chris just loves sports..
Here's what his day looks like at Beautiful Gate.

Around 6am. I check the weather immediately when I wake up, I cycle alone from home to Muizenberg beach which takes about 2 hours or at least 2 hours and a half. I come back quick to take a bathe and then cycle to work.

09h00: I get to work on my bicycle and first thing I do is coffee and then emails, I am a Sales Force “genius” if I may put it that way. I check Sales force and fix errors if there are any.

12h00: Prepare for class, actually I prepare what I need to do in class because we attend workshops with Wordworks and we learn a lot games and ideas on how to do literacy in class, so I use those ideas in my class as well. It’s a lot of preparation.
13h00: Its lunch time so I do not take lunch outside. I sit on my desk while eating.

14h00: I’m curious about Sales Force so I’m always checking what’s new or what can I learn every day.
14h30: I cycle to the container where I we do the after school programme. We don’t our programme in a school, so we have old containers where the children can do their homework after school and do extra mural activities.

15h00: At this time, I am in class and we check home works and do activities. If it’s not raining outside, we practice soccer.

16h30: The children prepare their snack which is a nutritious meal with fruit.  Then we do the dishes and go home.

17h00: I stay behind with soccer boys and we have our meetings because I like to do checkups to hear about their class or day. Then I cycle home.

18h00: When I get home I take my dogs out for a walk then we come back and have supper.

    Crossroads Child

Welcome to a window into the lives and issues facing children in the Crossroads community on the outskirts of Cape Town, South Africa. Most of these stories centre around the children and families we work with at Beautiful Gate South Africa, a Christian non-profit organisation whose mission is to show God's love as we care for and protect children, empower and preserve families and mobilise our community to do the same.
