When bicycles bring hope to children and families
Since 2014 riders from South Africa and around the world have made a lasting impact on the children and teens of Beautiful Gate South Africa, bringing hope and helping to change lives.
Women, men, and children have taken part in the Cape Town Cycle Tour, as individuals and groups, challenging each other for a better cause, a #RideforHope. The funds raised have been used to support our HIV treatment clinic, to strengthen families and to provide educational support and nutrition in our after-school programmes. For children who didn’t have school uniform and stationery, the funds made a difference. For some children, the only meal a day was received at Beautiful Gate during the after school programmes.
In 2017 we are continuing with our campaign with the help of people like you! Thank you to those of you that are riding, either in our charity group or with your own entry. Now is the time to start fundraising with your own online project linked to our Givengain RideforHope 2017 project. Motivate your friends and family to support you! And if you're not riding, please get behind our riders! This year we are focussing our fundraising efforts on our After School Education Projects.
Not a rider? No problem! Get behind one of our riders or support our staff members, who are riding for the kids they work with.
Or get your kids to ride in the Junior Tour and encourage them to raise funds and make a difference in the lives of children who don't have the same opportunities.
Welcome to a window into the lives and issues facing children in the Crossroads community on the outskirts of Cape Town, South Africa. Most of these stories centre around the children and families we work with at Beautiful Gate South Africa, a Christian non-profit organisation whose mission is to show God's love as we care for and protect children, empower and preserve families and mobilise our community to do the same.
