Volunteer at Beautiful Gate

We welcome volunteers for various needs in our organisation, including:  

• Educational support - We are in need of educational support staff to assist with academic tutoring, homework support, preparing educational crafts and games at out various sites and school partners
• Children’s activities - a few hours a week coaching sports, organising games or running arts activities
• Team service days - spring clean our site, paint classrooms or containers, fix the jungle gym or weed the garden!
• Admin Support - Data capture, fundraising, desktop research and other office work​

Checklist: What do you need to volunteer?

Most importantly, we need people who WANT to help. A willing heart is the best gift you can bring us as well as able hands! 

If you will be working directly with the children (i.e. homework and coaching, then by law we need you to have the following: 

1.   A Police Clearance Certificate (any police station can assist you). This is in line with the Children's Act and serves to protect our children. 

2. A character reference from someone you work with or have worked for, with their contact details on it. 

3. Proof of qualification (e.g. Matric certificate, relevant qualifications)
